Remember those days on the playground at school and the local park? Looking up at the towering monkey bars that seemed to reach as high as the sky, and the intimidating spiral slide that promised a descent full of thrill? It all felt so gigantic and impossible to conquer at first. But what did we do? We didn't stand there defeated or making excuses or telling ourselves we are not good enough. We climbed the first step of that ladder, then the second step, and we reached up and grabbed the first monkey bar. And we grabbed onto it to swing and fell off. And we may have laughed or cried. But we got back up, went up the first and second step again, grabbed the first bar again, swung around, and fell again. And yet every time we went to the park, we kept taking that first step up the ladder and we kept grabbing the first bar until one day we were able to grab the second, the third, and by the time we knew it, we could make it across the whole set of bars!
Our dreams and aspirations can feel just as enormous as that childhood playground did. Our path is filled with many unknowns and challenges. But here's the thing: every worthy adventure on the playground started with a single step. It all started with the first swing, the first slide, the first fall, the first getting back up and trying again. All of these small instances came together to build you into a playground superstar. And the same is true in your current life. You have to keep taking those small steps over and over again until you can do it with no effort. Laugh about it, cry about it, but do not give up on it. Today, I want you to remember that feeling of excitement, anticipation, and pure joy of taking that first step on your own personal playground of dreams. Maybe it's signing up for that online course that's been calling your name. Perhaps it's dusting off your paints and brushes, just like you used to reach for your favorite crayons. Maybe it's simply writing down your goals on a piece of paper and creating a roadmap for your own grand adventure. Don't be afraid to start small before conquering the big steps. Every step counts! From observer to creator, find your purpose. And remember, intention is everything!
